Current bid $25,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction. Paperwork proves car was previously registered in Arizona.

Sellers description:
1969 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER IN BRIGHT RED OVER CONNELY TAN LEATHER WITH 81,003 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS PRISTINE ROADSTER IS IN OUTSTANDING MECHANICAL RUNNING ORDER AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN MAINTAINED TO A VERY HIGH LEVEL! THE 4.2L SIX PURS LIKE THE KITTEN IT IS AND WAS JUST RECENTLY SERVICED. THE CAR DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD LASER STRAIGHT AND IS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO BE SEEN IN! THIS IS AN UN-RESTORED SURVIVOR E-TYPE THAT HAS HAD JUST TWO OWNERS SINCE IT WAS NEW! THE CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW IN 1969 IN DALLAS, TEXAS. IT WAS MOVED SHORTLY THEREAFTER TO TEMPE, AZ WHERE IT REMAINED UNTIL JUST ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO. THE CAR CAME OUT OF A COLLECTION THAT WAS VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND DRIVEN REGULARLY ENOUGH TO KEEP IT IN EXCELLENT MECHANICAL ORDER. THE WIRE WHEELS ARE OUTSTANDING WITH NO PITTING OR SCARRING. THERE ARE TWO SETS OF KNOC-OFFS WITH THE CAR AS WELL. THIS IS AN AIR CONDITIONED E-TYPE AND IT IS IN FINE WORKING ORDER AS WELL. THE ORIGINAL CONNELY LEATHER IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS IS THE TOP AND BOOT. THE CAR HAD A RE-PAINT ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO AND IT IS GORGEOUS! WE HAVE EXTENSIVE DOCUMENTATION INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL SERVICE CARD, OWNERS MANUALS, AND SERVICE DOCUMENTATION. THIS IS A VERY NICE TURN-KEY CLASSIC E-TYPE THAT CAN BE SHOW OR DRIVEN WITH PRIDE.

Lot #154521

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was restored circa 2008 and purchased by the owner in 2024. It is finished in Willow Green over tan leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes triple SU carburetors, exhaust headers, a black soft top, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a retro-style radio. This XKE roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, Jaguar club literature, and a clean Arizona title.

The car has been refinished in the factory Willow Green, and exterior equipment includes a replacement black soft top, sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knockoffs and are mounted with 185-series Michelin tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

The cabin is upholstered in tan leather and was refreshed in 2013. The seats were rebuilt and retrimmed and the dashboard was re-covered. Interior appointments include a retro-style radio with an auxiliary input, a locking glovebox, and a heater.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer was repaired in 2014, and the total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt in 2013 and is fitted with triple SU carburetors and tubular headers. The thermostat and drive belts were replaced in January 2023.

The engine stamping 7R1142-9 matches the number listed on the Heritage certificate.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and powertrain numbers.
