Lot #144992
This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 and subsequently refurbished. It is refinished in silver over reupholstered black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a replacement black soft top, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. This XKE roadster is now offered by the selling dealer with a wooden wheel knock-off tool and Alabama registration.
The car is finished in silver, and a repaint is said to have been completed in 2023. Exterior equipment includes a replacement black soft top, sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 195/70 Cooper Lifeliner Classic II tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin has been refurbished and features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
