Ebay item 5/28/19
www.ebay.com/itm/173915467231
Opening bid US $75,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller diego3333, 29k miles.

Seller's description:
The following information was provided to me by the Attorney who sold the car to me in June, 2001;

The Jaguar Dealer for the 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster, VIN# 7R15049, was Joe Eagle of Kansas City, MO. The car was first sold to a Doctor, Minister & PhD Poet at Unity Village, Missouri. He owned the car from 1970 to 1985 and accumulated 20,000 miles. The second owner bought the car in 1985 as an investment and accumulated 1,000 maintenance miles in 15 years. I purchased the car from the 3rd owner, a car collector/attorney who lived in Kansas City, MO, who purchased it as an investment as well.

DESCRIPTION
The car has 29,799 original miles, 9,062 miles of which have been put on the car by me in the 18 years I have owned the car. I have NEVER driven the car in the rain, snow or severely cold weather and it has been garaged the entire time I have owned it.

The automobile has a Manual 4-Speed Transmission, an Original Owner Manual, original A/C Unit (very unusual in these cars), Original Tools& Jack, 4.2 Liter engine in line 6, removable Hard Top. Also included are Original, never before used 1969 Texas License Plates that can be used if desired. The car is in pristine condition, runs like atop and is ready to go wherever your desires take you.

RESTORATION
I purchased the car in July, 2001 A complete restoration of the car was begun shortly after the car was delivered from Kansas City to Dallas. This labor of love was performed by a JOANT Club Member, Richard Wright and was in keeping with the current JCNA rules at the time

This was done so that I could participate and compete in, the Local JCNA Club Concourse’s in Texas and Oklahoma as well as in the JCNANATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the D3 Class (1969-1971 Driven Class). The goal, of course, was to Win a National Championship with my car. The Major Restoration included; using all original Jaguar Parts throughout where possible, with the exception of Tires and suspension.

· Replacement of suspension with Racing Suspension
· Replaced Shock Absorbers
· Vrdistin Racing Tires
· Replaced Old Chrome Wheels w/5 New Chrome Spoke Wheels
· Replacement of Original Dual Carburetors with Triple SU Carburetors
· Replaced Air Filters with K & N Air Filters
· Replaced Transmission
· Replaced Clutch
· Replaced Motor Mounts
· Replaced interior with NEW LEATHER Interior Kit & Floor Liners
· Replaced orre-chromed potted Chrome parts with NEW CHROME where needed
· Replaced ALL Rubber Seals around car
· Replaced Side and Rear View Mirrors
· Replace LH & RH Tail Lamps
· Replaced Fuel Tank
· Replace Fuel Pump
· Replace Exhaust System
· Replace Chrome Extenders on Exhaust System
· Replace Compressor
· New Vinyl Top
· New trunk lining
· New Black Convertible Boot
· Added Chrome Luggage Rack (An option offered on this model car)
· Many miscellaneous parts too numerous to mention but listed on invoices of work performed.
· NEW Body Off Paint (there are two spots where almost unnoticeable bubbles have appeared and two minuscule places where the paint has chipped on bonnet & brakes need minor adjustment to keep from making noise when stopping)

ALL RECORDS and Invoices of parts used in the Restoration as well as upkeep have been kept and will go with the car to the new owner. ALL work orders and repairs to the car were performed as follows;

· British Motor Cars of Dallas, TX;
· Richard Wright of Richardson, TX;
· Kip Motors of Dallas, TX
· British Auto Specialists, Inc. of Fort Worth, TX.

In 2002, The Car WON 1st Place in JCNA(Jaguar Clubs of North America) in D3 Class with a score of 9.997

In 2003, The Car WON 1st Place in JCNA(Jaguar Clubs of North America) in D3 Class with a score of 9.997**

**After Notification of the Win,I was later advised by JCNA that, according to a little known and seldom used rule, “following a year in which a car has won 1st Place Nationally in a given Driven Class, it cannot be entered the following year by the same owner in the same class”. In other words, even though I was High Points Champion in 2003, the 2nd Place Finisher was awarded 1st Place.

In 2004, The Car WON 1st Place in JCNA (Jaguar Clubs of North America) in D3 Class with a score of 9.9987

Records and Score Sheets for EACH Jag Concours have ALL been kept. All Trophies for EACH Local JagConcours for each year, as well as BOTH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES will be included in the sale, documenting the originality of the car.

In 2005, the car was involved in a minor accident to the left side of the car. Another vehicle turned right into the left hand side of the car. Work done to the car was made accordingly to maintain its’ National Championship Status. This means that many parts were replaced instead of being repaired. Those parts that were of minor damage were repaired and re-used after refinishing. The repainting was a “body off” – “Parts off” paint job. ALL paperwork documenting the work done/parts replaced and/or repaired have been kept to show everything that was done to the car and are available for perusaland will come with the car upon the sale.

This is your opportunity to not only own a Classic Jaguar, but to drive it immediately! This is indeed a head-turner! But be prepared to be inundated with looks, shouts, whistles and just plain admiration of the car from antique car enthusiasts to novice car lovers. Know the history as you will be asked constantly. And, from a shear enjoyment perspective, there is no feeling like cruising down the highway, wind in your hair, on a sunny day.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
