Current bid $10,099 reserve not met, 6 bids, 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $32,500. 77k miles.

    Sellers description:
I bought this car from a gentleman who had owned this Jaguar since 1972. He purchased it in Kentucky and drove it to Atlanta where it stayed for the next 30 years. It was NEVER in a northern state where they use salt on roads during the winter causing undue corrosion to the underside of cars. He kept it in an enclosed garage, registering it every year, and the last few years drove it less and less until he decided to finally sell it.

MECHANICAL CONDITION...This car was always maintained and never abused. Over last few years the previous owner hardly used the car so some systems had to be gone through. The engine sounds and runs great. The carbs were rebuilt. New radiator hoses and heater hoses. Rebuilt distributor. Rebuilt front brake calipers and new brake lines. The dash oil pressure gauge isn't working although we manually put a gauge on the sending unit and it has great oil pressure-over 50lbs at idle when cold. We've put around 10 miles on the car since going through it-the brakes, transmission, clutch, and engine all work very well.

BODY...As I said earlier, this car has always been in the south. NO sign of any major accident damage anywhere. The bonnet looks very straight. The gaps on all the body panels look uniform. The car was painted many years back and still looks great. Of course, it has minor chips and wear and tear from the years but the paint still holds a great shine and draws many looks going down the road. The original floorpans have a bit of scaling on the inside of the car and there are some pinholes in the floorboard-they could easily be repaired if you didn't want to install new floorboards at this time. There is some minor bubbling in the paint on the drivers side rear rocker. There is some corrosion under the battery on the inside of the car. Overall a very solid car.

INTERIOR...This Jaguar has a rarely seen item on the 6 cylinder roadsters-air conditioning. The AC seems to still work fine-the compressor kicks on and cold air comes out of the under dash vents. I didn't do any maintenance to the system and it's possible that it could need a freon charge before the hot summer. The seats are original and show a bit of patina (wear and tear) from the years. The dash looks great. The unusual top has a built in sunroof-the top is still in pretty good condition with no rips or tears. Under the center console is a period correct 8 track player that had a Soul Train tape in it. This bit of provenance was too cool and I thought the next owner could decided whether to keep this bit of nostalgia in his/her new Jaguar! All the gauges seem to work except the oil pressure gauge. As stated earlier, we hooked a gauge to the sending unit and it has great pressure. I imagine the old gauge is perhaps stuck from a lack of recent use.

SUMMARY...If you're looking for a Jaguar E-Type Roadster and don't want to pay six figures for one, then this car deserves a closer look. It's had just one owner for most of its life who took loving care of it. No wreck history. Very little rust. Looks great. Runs good. This car is ready to enjoy right now! I've put a very fair buy it now price in hopes of a quick sale.
