1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster
The Jaguar XKE roadster is a beautiful two-seater sports car. It is also much more. The exceptional breeding provided by a competition background is evident in all aspects of the XK-E

From the sleek wind formed shape to the speedometer that reads up to 160mph because it has too.

This beautifully maintained 1969 model is an unbelievable example of preservation. The engine was rebuilt about 4000 miles ago .The clutch and front end were rebuilt last summer 400 miles ago. The paint is in excellent condition and without flaw. According to the owner the only non-original parts would be the radio and the fuel-sending unit. Everything works with the exception of the interior clock but who pays attention to the time when they are driving a Jaguar?

In the first few seconds behind the wheel of this beautiful car you will know you made the right decision by bidding on this extremely rare classic sports car. The current owner has invested well over $40,000 but is prepared to sacrifice at a fraction of his investment. Bid with confidence on this extremely low reserve vehicle.

Sellers comment:
Jaguar XKE Roadster. Great car. Just rebuilt the clutch and transmission for $5,000 last fall. I have over $44,000 in the car and will sell for less. Beautiful paint job, engine has less than 5,000 miles since rebuilt. Excellent driver. New top and cover. Numbers match. Always kept indoors. Stored during winter and not driven. Price - $39,900.

The Arizona car presented here is one of the prettiest colors to grace the flowing line of the classic "E" type. This fully restored example is finished in Red with an elegant Tan interior, a Tan top complete with top boot also Tan. This Jaguar performs exceptionally well as driven and completed "The 2005 Copperstate Road Rally." Alain de Cadenet who was the Grand Marshall of the rally, and author of "Jaguar Victory by Design" has personally signed the engine frame. The XKE Jaguar as shown here is a very special car with a complete engine and gear box rebuild. The engine has been updated with Tripe SU carb's, stainless steel exhaust with headers and an electronic ignition. This car is not only a great driving car but an award winning car with its great look.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
