Ebay item 7/2/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $24,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Up for sale is a 1969 Jag XKE Roadster. I bought the car in 1999 from a man in California with the intention of a full restoration and have been enjoying as a driver ever since.
The good ...
The car has almost no rust. One small Quarter-sized bubble under the paint below the passenger door. Floors are original and solid.
Very strong running engine. Former owner indicated it had been rebuilt.
I have almost all the original parts (2 big boxes not pictured)
Comes with Tonneau cover, Car Cover, Floor Mats, Repair Manual. misc. parts I have purchased but not yet installed.
Wire wheels and tires look great. Don't think they are orginal but not sure.
The bad ...
The paint does not look as good in person as the pictures. The car needs a respray. Looks like it has had one in the past.
Couple of dings, stone chips and small dents. Most noticeable is on the front cowl at the air intake.
Carb's need tuning.
There is a 1" tear in the convertible top and the rear window is yellowing. Also needs new headliner.
Seats are orginal and the leather is begining to dry-out and fade.
Crack in the dash top.
