Ebay item 9/3/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1969-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-ROADSTER_W0QQcmdZViewIt ...
Current bid $2,025.00 (Reserve not met), 5 bids, 6 days left in auction. 53k miles.
Sellers description:
This is a very solid, clean E-type roadster for restoration. Restoration began about 10 years ago on this car, but due to a move, the work was stopped and the car has been sitting ever since.
The motor was rebuilt, new shocks and springs were installed, the brake system was rebuilt, a new exhaust system was installed, new starter, and rebuilt rear differential.
The body is very solid, with only a few minor dents and dings, no signs of serious accident damage ever. It needs to be stripped down to bare metal and repainted. The rocker panels were replaced. The floors and trunk are excellent. The doors open and close perfectly. The only sign of rust I see is some very minor bubbling behind the lower rear wheels along the edge, so minor it will not show up on photos.
The carpeting has been removed. The upholstery is in descent shape, but would need to be replaced to be show quality. The top needs replacing.
The car has not been started in 10 years. The motor turns freely and should run. It does, however, need new hoses and belts, radiator caps, battery, etc. first. The engine block was replaced from a XJ6, but the internals are E-type.
The only things missing that I can see are the "4.2" emblem on the trunk lid, and the ventilation fan, which were misplaced in the move. I will try to locate them, but I can't guarantee I will find them. A few loose parts are included; some new rubber seals, splash aprons, etc.
The car is sold with a Notarized Bill of Sale only.

Car returns to ebay 3/15/06
Roadster. It is being sold with out reserve. It has the 4.2 ltr straight six with 4 speed trans. Engine was replaced and some points but appears to be correct for era. This particular car was purchased 6 months ago in Texas and unfortunately purchaser has other obligations and is not able to take delivery of the car. Car is painted in grey primer. Chrome is in good condition. Interior is black and is in fair condition. Top needs replacing and top frame is in good condition. Engine turns freely and is internally clean (indicating work has been done on it) oil is exc clean. Transmission seems to shift fine. Chrome wires are in good shape. Car is 95% complete short of minor things such as hoses or lines, etc. The mileage should read in miles, not kilometres, 89,000 miles is a rough guess. I can get the exact if required. If you are looking for a decent roadster to start to restore, this is well worth the investment. Title can be searched. Sold with Bill of Sale.
