Ebay item 10/4/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $16,100, no reserve, 16 bids 3 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
E type roadster that was completly rebuilt 13 years ago. The Jag was converted with a GT 40 5.0 ford engine with C4 trans, The car is fuel injected and is very reliable. Appearances were maintained with no body modifications and slight mods to space frame as you can see in the pictures. This car received it's highest compliment from the Director of Jaguar Racing North America when he stated " I have seen this type of conversion attempted many times but this one finally got it right". The car runs great and the only reason it's for sale is it's part of an estate sale. I am handling the sale of this fine car and will answer all questions in detail when asked as I built this fine car and know it intimately. As I understand the car was driven from New York twice after being shipped out on vacation and driven back due to vacation time restraints. The transmission is a C4 Ford automatic.

Car returns to ebay 6/15/11

Current bid $9,100 reserve not met, 7 bids 6 days left in auction. Same photos and location. 69kmiles.

Sellers description:
Back up for sale is this beautiful 1969 E type Jaguar, we offered this car last fall with marginal success and the owners decided to wait till summer to relist again. Those of you who have been watching and calling over the winter have all the info that was listed before. There have been no changes to the car since last winter. For the newcomer, what you see is a 302 Ford V8 conversion with C4 automatic. The car is an estate sale with no hurry to liquidate. I own a custom and classic shop and engineered this car 14 years ago. since then it was driven moderately thru the years with 2 trips being taken to the east coast during that time with no issues.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
