Ebay item 5/3/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-Roadster-BRG-w-Biscuit-Int-Top-Re ...
Opening bid $50,000 reserve not met, no bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $65,000.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-Type Roadster in absolutely beautiful condition. Lovingly restored, Garage kept. 2nd owner since March 1978. Clear title. British Racing Green with Biscuit leather interior, tan mohair top. 69,982 original miles. Clutch replaced, new tires, new fan motors, new alternator. Dual Stromberg carbs. No oil leaks, no overheating. Good oil pressure and charging. Clock needs battery or I have included the resistors and diodes to convert the clock to car battery power. Jaguar tool kit in bag. Original matching engine and body numbers. Minor imperfections in paint as would be expected, 2 very small dings. Chrome good with some minor pitting. Original AM-FM pushbutton Jaguar radio. Original wiring harness in great condition. New wire wheels with original Jaguar knock-offs (with tool) Always garaged & covered. Starts right up and purrs like a kitten. Great ride and acceleration. We have enjoyed the fine example of motorcar design since becoming the second owner in March 1978 and now approaching retirement, have decided to part with this beautiful car.

VIN # 1R8353

Also included in the sale will be some spare parts, a Jaguar banner, and a nearly complete boxed collection of E-Jag magazines from the 80's & 90's showing wonderfully detailed restoration techniques and history!!

For some reason this car has been chosen for several ebay scams. Now listed to be in Colorado, using 4 of the same photos as above. An identical listing elsewhere in the country was pulled earlier this week. No reserve auction with a buy it now price of $20.9k. Both auctions state contact seller "before" bidding. Interestingly the 5/3/13 auction was pulled as was the one earlier this week. Beware....

This car did change hands in 2013. Happily it stayed in NJ. Its had some minor refreshes and is being driven as much as I have ime to do. Its not for sale, although crazy high offers may be considered!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
