Sellers comment:
This car has just been taken out of storage after 10 years. This car runs and drives. I believe that the original exterior paint was white, and the original interior was black. The odometer shows 39,356. I do not know if this is the original miles. The car is complete and looks presentable, but needs some minor work.

This is a matching number car.
* Engine: It runs and sounds good, but needs a tune-up.
* Body: The body has some rust bubbles in a few different areas that need attention. One area is located behind the rear tire on the driver's side. Rockers and floors are solid. However, there are a few rust bubbles on the rockers. I think that the floors were replaced at one time. The paint is not perfect. The car needs repainted. It looks like the front passenger bumper has been dented.
* Bonnet: It needs adjusted.
* Trunk area: The trunk area is solid.
* Tools/Jack: These items are missing.
* Interior: The interior is black vinyl. The vinyl seats are new. The door panels have been recovered. The carpet is new. The arm rest has been recovered. All dashes and gauges are there. I do not know if all of the gauges work.
* Chrome: All chrome is presentable.
* Convertible Top: It is in fair shape and useable. It has no tears.
* Brakes: The brakes are good.
* Clutch: The clutch appears ok.
* Tires: The tires are in average shape.
* Doors: They are solid underneath. There are some rust bubbles on the doors.

Opening bid US $12,000, no reserve, no bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Yankton, South Dakota.

Sellers description:
A running, drivable 1969 XKE Roadster that was disassembled for restoration. Grit blasted and primed. Very complete. Some of the rust issues have been addressed - some not! Floors have been replaced at some time in the past. Boot floors in good condition. Hood has been modified to early model covered headlights. Some unrepaired damaged to lower front of hood. Mileage listed is not correct. Had to put something in! I will attempt to answer any questions up to 12 hours before auction close. Interior mostly complete and in poor condition Top fabric is in poor condition. Frame intact and complete. This is a NO RESERVE auction - highest bidder will own the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
