    Ebay item 5/19/18
    www.ebay.com/itm/E-Type/163055104117
    Classified ad price:
    US $75,000, seller gateway-classic-cars, 80k miles.

    Sellers description:
Gateway Classic Cars is very pleased to offer this 1969 Jaguar E Type for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. The E Type's original 150 mph top speed, sub-7 second 0-60 mph acceleration, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension distinguished the car so much that it spurred industry-wide changes. This Jaguar has been in the care of its current owner for the past 14 years, having only two other owners prior to 2004. Recent work includes; new alternator, radiator, tires, clutch, brake system, oil pan and valve cover gaskets. In addition, the car was repainted in 2017 at a cost exceeding $12,000. Equipped with the still functioning original am/fm radio, wire wheels, and a wooden steering wheel that is free of cracks and blemishes. Reclining navy-blue leather bucket seats, seat belts, remote hood, and trunk releases, and an owner's manual are just a few more of the Jag's features. The strong running 4.2L I-6 has turned a little over 80,000 miles, and fires right to life with the turn of the key. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, and benefits from a recently installed new clutch.

This beautifully presented lefthand drive car was repatriated to the UK this year having been delivered to New York in May of 1969 and was owned by a Judge in Indiana for the past 14 years. The car was resprayed in 2017 in its original Jaguar light blue and benefits from a new mohair hood fitted in October 2018 at a cost of £1000. We are informed the car is running and driving very well having just had a service which included new front brakes and MoT.

The vendor states the engine starts on the button and ticks over very quietly with good oil pressure. This car also benefits from having a thick core aluminium radiator ensuring reliability and stress free motoring whatever the traffic conditions. The dark blue interior complements the light blue paint well and shows little sign of wear. A stunning Jaguar E-Type that is a real head turner!

This matching numbers example has its NOVA letter of confirmation showing all tax and import duties have been paid and a period type registration has been applied for from the DVLA which will be with the car by the time of the auction. A current MoT test certificate valid until October 2019, Heritage Certificate, Indiana title and registration document and its Jaguar E-Type Series II handbook also accompany the car.

This wonderful matching numbers survivor has been in the ownership of just three owners in the US before coming to the UK recently. The E-Type benefits from a bare metal repaint in its original colour, whilst the interior retains a lovely patina. The convertible roof has been replaced with a very smart navy mohair item and the original chromework is in fine order. We understand the E-Type has had a recent service, new clutch, radiator, brake discs and pads. As such this lovely example looks beautiful and starts and runs well with good oil pressure. Offered with a current UK MoT certificate, Jaguar Heritage Certificate original tools and manuals, this is a fine example of an all-time classic.
