Ebay item 10/4/13
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-series-II-1969-jaguar-xke-roadster-e-type-/121176 ...
Current bid $30,100 reserve not met 13 bids 9 days left in auction. 52k miles.
Sellers description:
Jaguar XKE roadster in superb original condition. Selling out of an estate the owner has past away and this car is being offered well below market value. It was described to me as his "pride and joy" driven occasionally through the country roads near his home and farm. It was always garaged in a heated building and covered when not in used. It always received whatever care and maintenance needed to keep it in top condition mechanically. I was told it received one repaint about 10 years ago in its original regency red color as seen in the photos. It appears to be a very high quality paint job that has held up very well. I believe the trunk and engine area are still in the original paint. The paint shines like new but does show a few chips and minor blemishes consistent with a car that has been driven occasionally. I would describe this car as a excellent driver quality. The interior was redone at the same time and still looks great. Although the carpet could benefit from a good cleaning. The seats, doors, center console and dash look almost new. The top was also replaced and still looks new. It does not have a boot cover for the top in the down position.
Mechanically it supports the type of care described, as well as the low original miles. It starts right up and sounds wonderful. It holds excellent oil pressure, in or out of gear at any temp. at idle or top RPM, does not heat up at all and everything seems to work just as it should. It does not burn oil and has not left so much as a drip in my garage. Driving it is truly a pleasure. It shifts very smoothly up and down through all gears. It stops quickly and perfectly straight. It handles like an E-type should. Corners great and reminds you of a wonderful time when motoring in a British convertible on a sunny afternoon was a great past time. It is a rare classic which can be enjoyed in todays traffic. It has strong acceleration in all gears. No valve clatter under hard acceleration. Just the classic smooth power e-types are known for. The chrome is beautiful and shines like new. Steering wheel, guages, shift knob and dash all original and look great.

Car returns to ebay 12/2/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-2-4-2L-/291629504269
Opening bid US $60,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Fredericksburg, Texas. Seller jerryb0421, 56k miles.
Sellers description:
This beautiful 1969 XKE OTS is finished in Opalescent Maroon with Beige leather interior.
The 3+ condition Jaguar has been an absolute pleasure to drive on the winding, open roads of the Texas Hill Country on Sunday afternoons. The engine performs as new and the transmission is silky smooth. There is no disappointment in the handling, stopping and overall performance of this fine tuned British sports car. The finish and interior are a few years old but are in exceptional condition as is the bright work and rubber. The top is as new and the tonneau is new, not even fitted yet. The Bridgestone tires have less than 1k miles.
I have had the floor pans professionally replaced and any rust found on the underside sheet metal has been properly taken care of.
This is not a matching numbers car but the engine is a factory replacement.
This beauty is ready for the road or for your collection.
If you are looking for a great XKE and don't want to pay $100k then this is the one for you. It is not a perfect car without its flaws but you won't be disappointed!
Notable flaws: the lower window seal rubber is cracking, a scuff on the upper side of the drivers seat, the switch for the interior lights and the fan don't work, and when the car was sent out to be buffed and polished the radio antenna was broken.
I have been selling my Jaguar collection car by car and this is the last one as it is my favorite and the hardest for me to let go of.
