Imported into the United Kingdom from California and registered LRH52G in April 2015. For sale at Vintage and Prestige Classic Cars of Grays for £95,000. Seller's description below. www.vandp.net./sales/1196/1969/jaguar-e-type-series-2-4-2-litre-roadster-lhd/
Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars offer for sale this glorious 1969 E Type Series 2 4.2 litre roadster LHD for sale. After completing a total body off restoration in the early 1990's, this E Type Series 2 roadster is in very fine order. This Left Hand Drive Series 2 roadster was delivered new to Mr J Gernon of Illinois via British Leyland New York , and was enveloped in the colour combination of Regency Red with Black leather interior. The car remained in the USA until it was exported to the UK in 2014.
During the extensive restoration, the E Type underwent a complete engine and drivetrain rebuild, as well as new suspension components, new brakes, rebuilt steering system, new factory correct upholstery and carpets, new soft top and cover, all new trim, badges, emblems and a total repaint. An appraisal by former owner Mr Brian Jones in 1997 describes the quality of the work as follows 'The calibre of all work performed on this truly stunning automobile is one of the highest quality, using the finest components available', - says it all really!
On top of this, contained in the extensive history file, there are many invoices, totalling thousands of dollars, dated 2010 and 2011 from Winning Classics of California for a myriad of parts, as well as for various in depth refurbishments. Also accompanying the E Type Series 2 4.2 litre roadster LHD is a photo album showing the restoration of the car, a spare steering wheel and spare light covers. With a fine engine and gearbox, this car offers a truly special driving experience and is ready for viewing at our showroom.

Seller's description:
1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Roadster For Sale
Right Hand Drive
14,185 Miles
Manual, 4 speed
United Kingdom
We are proud to offer this fastidious 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4. 2l Roadster, finished in Regency Red, with a black interior and hood. This E-type was originally produced and delivered to the USA in 1969, until it was repatriated in 2014. During its time in America during the 1990s, the car was completely rebuilt by the owner, including a complete body refurbishment, comprehensive engine and drivetrain rebuild, a complete suspension and steering overhaul and a full re-trim, all of which is completely documented and photographed. The car was also looked after by a Jaguar trained mechanic.
The current owner had it converted to RHD and the cylinder head overhauled, and it has done little mileage since the restoration as the clock shows. This delightful example remains in a superb condition, as its previous owner had it kept it in an outstanding condition, and since being bought, has been used occasionally, or garaged away, as can be seen throughout the body work and smooth performance of the engine.
There is a comprehensive history file, built up of all the associated paperwork, photographic record of the restoration and ownership and registration documents accompanying the car. This E-Type offers itself as an excellently maintained and very well presented example of the more refined and useable version of the E-Type series, and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
