Ebay item 6/4/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $8,800.00, no reserve, 18 bids, 4 days left in auction.
Sellers comment:
I've owned this beautiful E-Type Roadster for 25 years. Unfortunately for the Jag, I have attention deficit disorder that my wife thinks is a problem. I kept her outside (the car, not my wife) and rarely drove her. By the time I got around to restoring this classic I was on to something else.
I've stored the XKE in a heated garage for the last 15 years after partially disassembling the car. It remains mostly in pieces - see photos. I believe all the parts are there - although not all in good shape. The body parts are fundamentally solid although I think there's some bondo behind the left rear rocker panel.
Vehicle Condition
To be sure, this roadster is an ideal candidate for an overall restoration. The car is offered in "as-is" and "where-is" condition.

This is a very nice restoration. It has been in temperature controlled indoor storage for the last 20 years. This Jaguar was originally retired from active service with a blown head gasket. A recent restoration (listed below) has returned the Jaguar to drivability.
* Striped to bare metal, paint and color sanded
* Fit and shut lines very good
* New quality Stayfast canvas top and reconditioned top bows and tack strip
* New matching black canvas boot cover
* New radiator
* New fuel pump
* Gas tank cleaned and sealed
* Complete brake work to include all hydraulic components
* New rubber body gaskets
* Rechromed rear bumper
* Engine out rebuild, including head
* Reporcelained headers
* New tail pipes and chrome resonators
* New side door panels
* New carpets
* New alternator
* Rebuilt cooling fans
* New hose connectors
Future considerations
* Center section of front bumper is ok, but would benefit from rechrome
* Clock is not working
* Tires are old but ok for limited use. Should be replaced.
This matching numbers, 3 owner E-Type is fitted with leather seats which where replaced several years ago, and still appear as new. Dash pad is free of cracks and fading. A lot of money and time has gone into restoring this Jaguar.
