This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is a non-running project that has reportedly been stored in New Jersey for the last three decades. It is finished in British Racing Green over black leather and is equipped with a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black soft top, fog lights, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. This XKE roadster is now offered in Connecticut by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in British Racing Green, and exterior equipment includes a black soft top, sealed-beam open headlights, fog lights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes areas of rust around the body, and exterior blemishes.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by earless knock-offs and are mounted with 205/75 Michelin Radials tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 65k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and is linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The engine does not run, though the seller notes that it turns freely by hand.
