Ebay item 1/4/16
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-E-Type-Jaguar-V12-Roadster/281901008505
Opening bid £50,000, reserve not met, no bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Offered here is a prime example of a 1972 E-Type Jaguar, one of the most beautiful cats to be manufactured.
This Roadster was built as a right-hand drive motor car and has never left these shores. As can be seen with the accompanied Heritage Certificate this motor car has matching engine, gearbox and chassis numbers true to the day it was manufactured. It has one previous lady owner on the V5 document and has only covered 28,000 miles.
The following collection of photograghs clearly show that this car has been dismantled as part of a comprehensive restoration. All major components have been overhauled i.e. engine, gearbox and rear differential. The chassis itself has received a recent full respray so therefore is in immaculate condition and rust free. The rear subframe has been stripped to the bare bones, powder coated and rebuilt with new differential, inboard discs, callipers and drive shafts.
The rest of the undercarriage assembly has been painstakingly prepared and painted. The four chrome wire road wheels are brand new with an original re- chromed spare. The car retains its original tool kit and case and as you can see from the photographs all other components have been cleaned and prepared ready for assembly.
This would be a perfect project/investment for someone to take charge of. This motor car is being sold in this condition due to change in circumstances.
Further parts will be required for the car to be roadworthy and complete i.e. headlamps, grill, bumpers, exhaust and interior trim.
