We are always extremely pleased to offer examples of the Jaguar 'E' Type V12 roadster but this is an exceptional car having covered only 38000 miles from new with the present local owner having kept the car for the last seven years and the owner prior to that having kept it for the eight years previous to that.
It is finished in Red with the Beige interior and it is the automatic three speed version and it is in very good condition throughout. It comes with the factory hardtop and it has been garaged since 1990 with the last M.O.T. certificate expiring in January of 1991. It has four previous M.O.T.'s in total - 1982; 1984; 1989 and 1990.
This is a superb car with a good pedigree and can only appreciate in value as the years roll by and the new buyer takes great pride in its ownership.

Overall a superb Series 3 E-type which has been the subject of significant investment (circa £50,000+) and subsequently valued by the JEC Valuer in September 2011 at £85,000. The car is driving beautifully with good oil pressure, normal/low water temperature, quite light but responsive steering, strong even brakes, smooth gearbox and plenty of 'go' from the lovely V12 - a delightful sports-tourer and a car to enjoy and be proud of.

Car to be at auction 8/14

August 30, 2014 auction
Lot 323 - 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster
Registration KGF 958N
Chassis Number 1S2019BW
Engine Number 7S12629BW
Odometer reading 43,900 miles
Estimate £48,000 - £55,000

The classic colour combination of red with a contrasting biscuit leather interior shows off this excellent example of Jaguar's languorous tourer well. This has been the subject of an extensive restoration between 2009 and 2011with the body taken back to bare metal. Whilst the car was in its constituent parts, the brakes were also upgraded using drilled discs and new chrome wire wheels. The hood is also replaced in 2012 thanks to Suffolk & Turley and the entire underside has been treated with Waxoil. There is also a period Motorola 838 radio fitted (with iPod connectivity) and electric aerial. Indeed, so detailed are the works undertaken on KGF 958N that a leather bound 'directory' exists, complete with a photographic history of the restoration as well as a feature detailed in the E-Type club magazine detailing the replacement of the timing chain late last year. The total costs of labour and parts so far has been over £50,000+ and comes complete with all handbooks, lubrication charts, invoices and other associated paperwork. Well sorted, well prepared and with a fine history, a recent re-conditioned gearbox and MoT test certificate, this represents an E-Type that is now completely ready for someone step into and enjoy.

Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th August

1975 JAGUAR E-TYPE 5.3 V12 ROADSTER SIII

Estimate:  £50,000 - £60,000

V5 present

MoT exempt

Chassis number: 1S2019BW

Registered in May 1975, making it one of the last E-types to be sold (as production had stopped in June 1974), this 5343cc V12-engined Jaguar is now showing 44,197 miles on its odometer. The vendor acquired it from a friend who had owned it for eight years but hardly used it during that time.

As an historic vehicle, the car no longer requires annual MoT testing; its last expired in September 2015 after having been tested the previous year at 43,924 miles. A full restoration was completed in 2011, with over 360 images included in the large history folder. In 2011, at 40,208 miles, the Jaguar was valued for insurance purposes at £85,000 in A1 condition. The car is described as running well with no known issues, and has been stored indoors when not in use. A new battery has recently been fitted. The E-type is currently running on six Weber IDF carburettors, but the original Strombergs, manifolds, air cleaners and box will come with the car.

The history folder is extensive. Along with the V5C and two owner's handbooks, there's a well-organised folder with MoT certificates, a huge stack of invoices back to 2011 (mainly relating to the car's restoration), previous ownership information, lubrication chart and other miscellaneous paperwork and correspondence.
