Ebay item 12/3/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-E-Type-Roadster-27-000-Orig-Miles-VERY-ORIGINAL-lik ...
Current bid $25,100 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction. 27k miles.

Sellers description:
1972 E-Type SR III V12 Roadster (OTS)

The automobile being offered here is a Very Original Low Mile (Only 27,000 miles from New), 1972 E-Type Roadster.

It still looks and drives like a NEW car as one would expect from a car with this low mileage and well maintained.

This Beautiful Jaguar E-Type Roadster is a Matching Numbers Car and finished in a beautiful Light Blue Exterior (its original color from the factory) over a like new Original Navy Blue Leather Interior. Being a Texas car most of its life has kept the body dry and free of rust. Its remarkable condition throughout, as seen in the photos, attests to the quality of its care from new. The exterior paint is EXTREMELY nice, has a beautiful shine, and there are no dents, nicks, or scratches. Note the detailed photos of the paint and the door panels. Not only does the finish have a beautiful shine, the body panels fit very well, and there are no signs of subsurface rust anywhere on the car including the seams in the bonnet underside, the trunk, the floor boards, etc. The condition of the seats, door panels, dash, control instruments, and the entire interior is spectacular. The trunk compartment which is all original including paint and the original foam pads and exposed adhesive residue from the factory, are all evidence of its originality and low miles. The chrome is all original chrome, including the chrome wire wheels, and in very good condition for a car of this age. The car also sports its Original Radio; another indication of its originality and low miles. The convertible top is the original top from the factory and also in beautiful condition. The tires are also in new condition.

The car is ready to take to your regional British Car Show to win a trophy and/or out for an exciting and enjoyable country drive day one.

Included with the car are a Jack, a knock-off hammer, and a Boot Cover; all in great condition. This car hasn't been driven much which attributes to its Low Miles and superb condition.

Today's NADA High Retail Value for the 1972 E-Type Roadster is $81,000 USD (#2 car)

NADA Average Retail Value is $50,000 USD. As seen by the photos, the condition of this car is closer to the NADA "High Retail Value" than the NADA "Average Retail Value, especially due to the extremely low mileage on the car. If you agree that this car is above Average condition (remember 27,000 miles from new as well) than what would you pay for it?

The RESERVE PRICE is set below NADA Retail Value which means you have an opportunity to get a great deal and affordably purchase a highly desirable E-Type SR III V12 Roadster below Retail Market Value.

The car is available for viewing prior to the end of the auction.

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States in 2015 and currently for sale at Landmark Cars of London. This car was manufactured on 4 March 1972 and dispatched to Jaguar Cars New York three weeks later. Elegantly finished in desirable Light Blue with Navy Blue hide. Fitted with optional chrome wire wheels, automatic transmission and original factory fitted AM/FM radio with aerial. The car comes compete with tonneau cover, jack, knock off hammer and owner's handbook with supplementary leaflets in an original wallet.

Documentation confirms the 27,800 miles is correct, and original transfers in the engine bay and production adhesive residue in the boot area highlight that this is a very original car that has been lovingly cared for. The underside of the car is in excellent order, undoubtedly due to its spending most of its life Texas. Also the car benefits from a very low ownership, 3 owners from new. More recent maintenance from a prominent specialist in Texas includes rebuilt carburettors, a new steering rack, upgraded electronic ignition,, acoustic insulation, stainless steel exhaust system and a Team CJ suspension upgrade.

This E Type is the perfect balance between classic open top motoring and modern expectations. The V12 is as smooth as you would expect, with effortless performance. The steering is light and accurate and the brakes reassuring. The additional acoustic insulation adds refinement, reducing road noise without distracting from the sonorous engine and exhaust. The upgraded suspension increases the sporting edge of the E Type without losing the suppleness of the independent suspension Jaguars are renowned for. Ever since its first appearance, the E Type has been identified by its distinctive styling.

Elegantly painted in Light Blue with Navy Blue interior, it is equipped with chrome wire wheels optional automatic transmission and AM / FM radio with antenna factory. The car comes complete with hood, jack hammer and the owner's manual with additional pamphlets and books in an original purse.
The documentation confirms that the 27,800 miles displayed are original, the engine compartment confirms that this V12 was lovingly maintained.
