This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is a right-hand-drive, Series III roadster that has travelled 25k miles with the seller, who purchased it circa 1990 from an acquaintance. A repaint in Dark Blue was commissioned about two decades ago, and the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include a dark blue soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a Biscuit leather interior, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Sony cassette stereo, and a heater. This Series III E-Type shows 65k miles and is now offered in Canada with a binder of service records and British Columbia registration.
The car was refinished in Dark Blue about two decades ago, and it features a dark blue soft top, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Avon tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The right-hand-drive cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Biscuit leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include a Sony cassette stereo, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 65k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. A binder of service records is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The car is being offered on its British Columbia registration, which serves as an ownership document.
