Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XKE V.12
This rare, stylish and tasteful XKE 1972 Convertible is 100% original. It starts up easily and drives great!! The paint has never been touched, all original engine with 27,652 original miles. The previous owner, a Jaguar enthusiest has stated that he has owned this car since 1973. Always garaged, comes with original floormats underneath the braided mats. Original AM / FM radio still works fine. Comes with original Handbook and other diagrams and literature that came with it new. There are some minor dings and one dent in bonnet area of hood about 4" which is shown in a photo. This car is the real thing!!! 12 cylinder powerful and 4 speed manual transmission, designed with racing in mind, believe me - it is fun to drive!!! The Elegant and gorgeous Jaguar Series 3 'E' Type Convertible is an excellent investment opportunity. Not only will the car perform fabulous on the road, but will probably out perform your mutual funds! This particular car is a better opportunity than most in the market today because it is 100% Original. You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. This car is perfect for the person who wants to know what they have, not a vehicle restored by a stranger, possiblly wrecked and reconstructed, or parts from different cars. This is the hard one to find, 100% original.

This car actually has a dark blue interior. The seller in error stated that it was black. I emailed them and they verified that it is indeed dark blue leather. I thought it was because my nephews Powder Blue , 1S20759 has a dark blue ineterior and I wanted to be sure. This car eventually went for around $26,000 plus change on ebay.I think it represented a very good buy. Especially if it is as original as stated in the ad.....Regards....

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
