Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XKE Series III V-12 Roadster
The car interior and exterior colors are original on this very period looking automatic transmission. The paint and interior were re-finished 16 or so years ago to a nice level of detail. This beauty is an especially easy driving classic, and a very good example of a metal bumper V-12.

As is, this car is a great driver for someone who has always had a passion for its classic lines. It is very solid mechanically and runs very well. This is not a restored car, just a well maintained car with a long term owner for the last 30 years or so. This car shows extremely well and yet is also one that you won't be afraid to drive. Conversesly it could also be a great candidate for restoration as well as the metal is all very solid with no rust to be seen.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
