Ebay item 8/8/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-Outstanding-Original-Survivor-1973-73-Jaguar- ...
Current bid US $22,100, no reserve, 17 bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Mechanically, it runs and drives extremely well for the age of the car. It steers / turns stops as expected and quite well. The gauges appear to work as do the headlights. One rear light is intermittent and probably a socket connection issue. The car also stops well. Cosmetically, this is the nicest original E-Type Jaguar we have encountered. It is in near perfect cosmetic condition.
This was owned by the current owner since 1985 in the Chicago, IL area. This was her husband's car who passed away. She is now located in Northern WI and has consigned the automobile with The Sell It Now Store. As stated above, this vehicle is in outstanding original condition down to the mirrors and floor mats. Aside from the factory radio being saved but replaced with an Alpine 7165 radio, it is all original. No alterations were made to accommodate the radio. We believe the mileage to be original.
This vehicle is a US market car which met USA EPA standards and was purchased new by a British gentleman who stored the car as part of a collection and rarely used it. The current owner's deceased spouse imported it from England to the USA and loved this car until his death a few years ago. It is a factory US spec left hand drive car.
Mechanically, the radiator was re-cored in 1985 along with a thermostat, hoses and a new steering rack direct from Jaguar. It has 1986 Michelin tubed redline tires and they are outstanding today. However, we know they are also going on 30 years old. The brakes and rear calipers were also done in 1986 and still work great. Currently, the car has had a recent tune up and the original carbs were rebuilt. The factory air will need a recharge.
Cosmetically, it is hard to tell if the interior is just that nice or if the carpets were replaced at some point. The current owner has not replaced anything in the interior. We are unsure but believe this may be the original paint. The seats do show some wear on the upper side from the convertible top as shown. However, it is minor and could easily be reconditioned by an expert. Also note that all the exterior panels appear to be original and we could not detect any accidents.
The car runs and drives extremely well for the age. We were impressed with the outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition, as well as the rust free nature of this car. This may be one of the nicest unmolested originals on the planet and the condition is as nice in person as it is in the photos. Jaguar E-Type Roadsters are truly an international icon.
Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature, and only drove the vehicle for a short distance.

Car returns to ebay 3/31/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-III-V12-Roadster-/171737382848
Current bid US $35,350, no reserve 29 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Great classic Jaguar just became avaiable for convertible season. Clean Western car. Meticulously maintained and with an indicated (believed original) mileage of only 41,000 miles, it is in fabulous condition throughout. The body is arrow-straight with excellent shut lines and the paintwork is virtually unmarked. The original interior is excellent condition as is the luggage compartment. The Everflex soft top is in very good shape and all the electrics work perfectly. Mechanically, the magnificent V12 is turbine-smooth and delivers its seemingly endless power faultlessly to the rear wheels via the three-speed automatic transmission. Truly one of the best I have seen. Original radio, car cover, jack will come with the car. Title in hand and car can be seen in 08077 New jersey by appointment only.
