Car now offered at:
www.lesanciennes.com/annonce/jaguar-type-e-serie-3-v12-xke-1971-a604816&q=Jaguar
Seller's description:
Mileage: 177,000 km
Chassis number 1S21666 is painted in a classic and elegant dark blue color, with beige leather interior, black soft top and dark blue hardtop. Like most left-hand drive E-Types of this generation, it was delivered new to the United States in December 1971 and remained there until 1995, when it was sold in southern France.
The French owner enjoyed the car for 7 years. In 2002, she moved to Belgium with a Belgian lady who was seduced by her elegant color combination. The beauty was purchased in February 2006 by its current owner, a Belgian enthusiast, and remained in his hands for 17 years.
Here is a list of the main equipment and options: - Leather interior - Beige carpet - Pioneer audio system - Wooden steering wheel - Wooden dashboard - 15 inch rims / spoked rims - Black soft top – black soft top cover - Colored hardtop of the car - Chrome bumpers - Tulip exhaust
Used and maintained regularly over the years, this XKE benefited from some restoration work in 2017:
Renovation of the hardtop, replacement of the hood, renovation of the leather front seats, cleaning of the carpet, complete polishing of the bodywork, new side windows, new radio antenna, new door and window seals.
Carburettor maintenance, oil filter, geometry, heating system maintenance, handbrake adjustment, new battery.
Today, the odometer shows a mileage of just over 10,000 miles (probably corresponding to 110,000 miles). The car is in good condition, has a Belgian oldtimer registration and drives well.
It comes with a certificate of conformity issued by Jaguar Brussels, the original user, maintenance and service manual and the spare parts catalogue. The documentation includes all invoices for work carried out since 2006.
