A photo of this car with disc wheels and matching hardtop was published in jaguar driver, Feb 96. The Owner Graeme Philips from Manurewa South of Aukland wrote the car was imported from the UK around 1985, with history unknown.Condition was probably fair,

The Vehicle is nearing a 1year full body off restoration by Brands Hatch Restoration Ltd,Christchurch NZ.The Motor is now fitted with road /race cams and 6x 40 ida down draft Webers this being the only modification from original other than a colour change from lavender to signal red.The vehicle has the original hard top is a manual 4 speed and has covered 79,000 miles,The Vehicle was first registered in NZ on the 23 July 1985 being imported from England.Does any one know its Englih history??

Thanks for the update on the car but the body number you entered was the car number, rather than the body number. The correct body number and the gearbox number can be found on the black and silver data plate that should be attached to the center of the firewall. If you can obtain that information we would appreaciate the update on that info.

For a good example of this data plate see the detail photos of "Other" for car number 1S23963. The body number should start with a 4S prefix with four digits following and the gearbox number most likely start with a KL with four digits following after.
