Car is scheduled for auction 12/04 at:

Auction description:
1973 Jaguar E-type Series III V12 Roadster
Registration Number: 905 CAT
Chassis Number: 1S23564
Engine Number: AAAJ0314
Restored in the mid 1980s by renowned specialist 'Eagle Racing', ‘905 CAT’ did not so much get the cream as lashings of money spent on it. The subject of an extremely impressive rebuild that included detailing of its suspension assemblies and a reconditioned engine direct from the Jaguar factory (as proven by the Browns Lane plaque still attached to the unit), it has covered a minimal mileage (approximately 3,000) since work was completed. The high gloss of its signal red paintwork is complimented by both the suppleness of its black leather upholstery and the gleam of its chrome plated wire wheels. Benefiting from the preferred four-speed manual gearbox, it is possibly the finest V12 Roadster that we have yet seen. In the current ownership since 1992, it has spent much of the intervening time being pampered in secure storage. Methodically checked over and submitted for MOT on a regular basis, it has the benefit of a stainless steel exhaust system. Offered for sale with V5 registration document, history file and MOT current until June 9th 2005.
Estimate: £25,000-30,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
