46,524 MILES, ON EBAY 05/07

Ebay item 5/24/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-V-12-Series-III-Roadster-VIDEO-SOUND-e ...
Opening bid $30,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This car was originally sold by British Motor Car Distributors Ltd. in San Francisco, California. Mr. Bruce James purchased the car new. It was kept for a number of years in the San Francisco area, when Bruce sold it in the 1980s to a Jaguar enthusiast in Atlanta, Georgia who kept the car in dry storage for a number of years. After a divorce, the car was then purchased by Fraser Dante Limited in Roswell, Georgia. This is where todays owner purchased this treasure in 1994. This stunning Jaguar is on display in our showroom located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas. Walk-in visitors and inspectors are welcome.

This is a high quality example of the Series III Roadster. Jaguar Clubs of North America has regularly judged this car dating to the 1990's. It has received consistant marks of 990+ out of a maximum of 1000 points over the last 10+ years.
We have an extensive collection of maintanence records. We also have the original Passport to Service Packet complete with the identification plate, the Jaguar Series III V 12 "E" Type operating, maintanence and service handbook and registration dating to the 1970s. The current owner has had this car for over 13 years. It has always been garaged. The current owner kept a log book of the accumulated mileage.
The exterior presents itself beautifully. The correct Regency Red finish has recently been professionally polished and looks very nice. The hood received a professional paint touch up. The paint is aging gracefully. Upon close inspection you will find paint chips on the extreme lower areas of the front valence pan. Also there is spiderweb marking at the windshield cowl areas visable. These flaws do not take away from this quality original Jaguar. All of the body lines are straight and true. This includes the door fit, the trunk and the bonnet. The body is in excellent condition. The lower areas are free of the typical corrosion these cars suffer. The undercarriage also confirms this to be a dry climate car.
The original Biscuit interior has also withstood the test of time. The seating is clean without damage. The armrest shows average wear. All of the carpeting is plush, showing like new with the correct mats and seams. The original gauges show clear lenses. The Speedometer, Tachometer, Battery charge, oil pressure, and water temperature gauges are functional. The dash is smooth without distortion or cracking. All of the knobs and dials are intact. The weatherstrip is pliable and seals tightly.
The engine compartment is clean with correct components. Much of the maintanence receipts cofirm the constant proper state of tune this car is in. It has been kept maintained by British Auto Specialists in Ft. Worth, Texas. Recent April work performed includes a new air conditioning compressor and system refresh. The V12 runs very smooth. Simply bump the key and start this Jag. The plugs, wires, electronics and vacuum hoses are kept in working order. The oil pressure shows the proper constant level. You will not find underhood corrosion either. This is truly a quality Jaguar Series III!

Surviving nearly all original through to 2013, it was its previous owner who took the liberty of commissioning a complete cosmetic and mild mechanical restoration. This started with a bare metal repaint of the entire body by Triumph Auto Body based in Scranton, PA that was completed in April of 2015. Photos of the rust free, bare metal body are included. Upon completion, it was fitted with all new rubber gaskets, wind hoses around bumpers, door, and bonnet. In August of 2015, the complete interior to be refinished professionally by Affordable Auto trim also based in Scraton, PA. This included new supple leather seat upholstery & foams, all new floor carpeting, recovered kick panels and shifter boot, door moldings, and new vinyl convertible top. Then it was delivered to Cross Valley Auto in Plains, PA for a complete tune up and overall freshening of the mechanicals. The work was performed by a factory trained Jaguar V12 technician. All new spark plugs, coolant, thermostatic switch, gaskets & plug, cooling fan relay, a/c fan relay fuel filter, and new hood struts were installed. After tuning, it starts, runs, and drives with great bravado and a pure Jaguar sound from the exhaust! The brakes and throttle are equally responsive for spirited drives or relaxing cruises on Sunday mornings! It comes with original owner's manual, service booklet with original owner ID card, & consumer guides inside its original protective case, factory spare, jack, and tool, boot cover, and British Heritage Trust Certificate. It's truly a remarkable example!
