1974 Jaguar XKE V12 Roadster 10,150 original miles. Original Paint, upholstery, carpets and top. Runs very well and is absolutely beautiful. I am providing a bit of history and details below. This is an extremely rare find. I am selling the car to make room for another vehicle that I am acquiring.



Restored V12 E Type Roadsters will bring $70 – $100k. What is the value of an original low mileage car? I believe that the Buy It Now value that I have entered is a fair value for this rare car. I will not reveal my reserve and I am not interested in trades.



I am not a Jaguar expert / collector, so I will do my best to answer your questions and post them on the Ebay ad for others to see. You are welcome to come and inspect / drive the car in South Carolina prior to bidding.



This car spent 30 years with it's original owner. I have the original bill of sale and a signed statement form the original owner regarding the history of the car. The car was sold to it’s long term owner in the spring of 1974. This owner drove the car for approximately 3 years (during this time he had a parking lot incident wherein a lady backed into the Jag, this area was repaired and then color blended to match the hood and today the area is very small and very difficult to find and is not noticeable unless you look for it). The original owner put the car into storage in 1997. The car was removed from storage in the spring of 2004. At this point it was sold to a broker whom I purchased the car from.



Since 2004 the car has had installed: NEW battery, tires, aluminum radiator, electronic ignition, rotors, suspension bushings, shocks, hoses, and belts. The total cost of the service on this car has been over $6000. It starts reliably and runs beautifully. I have not had the airconditioning system worked on as I have only driven the car with the top down on nice days.

This car is beautiful. The car was sold new on August 27, 1974 by Cloverleaf Motors of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This car is ALL original. This is NOT a conversion. It has the original V12 engine #7S 15736 LB and original KL series manual transmission # KL 8033. See pictures of VIN, engine and gearbox numbers on the builder’s plate, the VIN on the windshield tag and stamped on the body under the heater box.
There are letters of documentation from the original & second owners - obtained by the third owner - (see pictures - all names have been blanked out to protect the privacy of these individuals, but the winning bidder will get the actual names and documentation).
The first owner stored the car after the first few years in a climate controlled space. It was stored for 27 years. The second owner purchased the car in the spring of 2004 with 9,800 miles. He had the dealership service the car and got it into driving condition. The third owner purchased the car in September of 2004 with 9884 miles on it.
It was this owner's intention to drive the car so he installed new correct wheels and tires; had a brake job, front end bushing replaced (dry rot) and updated the ignition system. He replaced the muffler (see picture). An aluminum radiator was installed for practicality and the original is included with the car (see picture). The third owner drove the car on several trips totaling about 400 miles - deciding that the extreme originality of the car was at risk every time he drove it. The car needs some touch up work here and there and he was reluctant to do it.
Consider the coach untouched for 30 years. The paint is original, as is the interior and engine compartment. I am the fourth owner, having only driven the car for testing purposes.
Present Condition: The car runs and drives great. The paint is truly original so it is not perfect, however it is very nice. Around the louvers on the hood and along the lowest edges of the body the paint is peeling and there is some surface rust. The paint has some scratches, nicks and chips. The rear lid has some small bumps from slamming.
The original owner described some small damage to the hood which was repaired. It is not apparent. The foam in the headrests is deteriorating so they have a sagging look. Other than some light rubbing on the seats, the interior is like new. The original top is on the car, but the side panels are torn and the rear plastic window is yellowed. This car has not been restored.

This 1974 Jaguar E-type (chassis UE1S25376) is a from the second-to-last year of production, and though these late-production Series 3 cars are generally the least sought after, this one's extraordinary condition, nice color, and 4-speed manual make it a bit easier to overlook the big bumpers and other fussy styling details. Described as all-original with just 10k and change documented miles, the car was recently recommissioned and sounds ready to add more miles. Find it here on Craigslist in Qualicum Beach, BC, Canada for $78,800 USD.

Described as all-original (excluding recently replaced wearable items), the car was driven for only three years and then put into storage until recently. The seller notes a handful of very small parking lot dings, but overall the car presents beautifully with straight sheet metal, deeply shiny paint, and excellent trim. Tires are new, and a fresh top is included as well-the one currently fitted isn't shown up, and could be in rough shape if it was stored down for the duration of the car's long indoor slumber.

The interior looks like that if a brand new car, and these 4-speed manual S3's seem to be pretty scarce-many were saddled with automatics.

Belts and hoses as well as brake and fuel system components are all new, while OEM rubber suspension pieces have replaced by polyurethane items. The original radiator is included, but the car now runs a modern aluminum item. Elsewhere, the V12 exhales through a new stainless steel exhaust system. Neither running nor driving condition is mentioned, but both are presumably good.

Interestingly, Hagerty pegs a number two car as being worth $108k, with number ones climbing to $145. With its high degree of originality, excellent condition, and low mileage, this one is probably somewhere in between the two. Unfortunate styling changes aside, you won't be getting close to an S1 or S2 car of this caliber for the asking price.
