Sold by Derk C Mowat Motor Cars of Edinburgh in November 2021. Abbreviated and amended seller's description below

1 of the last 50 E Type commemoratives produced, marking the end of production in 1974. This is a manual gearbox version with factory hard top making it super desirable. Been in the hands of just 4 owners since new, the current for 23 years, and maintained to perfection during that period. Originally supplied by Stevensons of Tunbridge Wells, and registered 1 August 1974. The car passed to the second keeper in 1979, having covered 47k, remained with the next owner for 10 years, covering 10k during his ownership. The next covered just 2k over 9 years before passing to the current keeper at 59k in 1998.

The car underwent a full engine rebuild and body restoration with Milford Engineering in 2010 at 82k miles. Complete detailed invoicing is on file including original CD photographs. Desirable upgrades include stainless wire wheels, stainless exhaust, stainless braided brake hoses, new mohair hood and tonneau, static fuel pumps, alluminium radiator and ignition upgrade. The history file has carefully filed documentation going back 40 years and includes correspondence with Jaguar dating back to 1979, the original factory handbook pack, original dealership tax disc holder and the Heritage Certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
