Sold by the Classic and Sports Car Centre of Malton in July 2021. Abbreviated description below.

www.classicandsportscar.ltd.uk/jaguar-e-type-series-iii-v12-fhc-auto-/classic-ca ...

KMH308K is a RHD UK specification E Type retaining its original colours and engine. It has covered 70,000 miles from new, warranted by a history dating back to when it was a few years old. This is a car that has never been restored, has covered a low annual mileage and has 28 MoT certificates dating back to 1976 to show the car has never spent long periods off the road. First registered on 16th February 1972, it covered 25,598 in its first 4 years so just 44,000 miles have been covered in the past 42 years.

In 1977 Vincent James Autos in Canvey Island registered the car in their name and MoT tested the car at 31,585 miles, their dealers sticker is still in the rear window. It stayed in the Canvey Island area and was MoT tested at 47,246 miles. It did 600 miles from 1990 to 1998 and the following year 4,000 miles taking the mileage to 52,000. From 2000 to 2008 a further 10,000 miles were recorded. 10 years later the E Type has done 70,000 miles, an average of 1000 miles a year.

This correct car has come from a Bradford customer who has been with us for 25 years. This E Type was his daily driver over the 2017 summer but its use has been limited recently. The car is in strong original condition and presents well with a webasto sunroof, nice straight panels, impressive gaps and good quality older paintwork. The brightwork is of a high standard and the chrome wire wheels are in lovely order. The interior is exceptional with impressive leather, well presented carpets, headlining, door cards and dash.

Mechanically it is in strong condition with a low mileage engine offering healthy oil pressure and fabulous performance. The automatic gearbox is smooth and an invoice is present for a rebuild some years back. This V12 doesn't require any work and is fully serviced, prepared and supplied with 12 months MoT. It drives well with effortless power steering, the brakes feel sharp and it handles beautifully. It has been well maintained and invoices from the history file confirm expenditure of over £12,000 between 2012 and 2014.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
