One of only 69 original RHD Series 3's originally delivered into Sth. Africa, as a personal import. The owner then returned with the car to the UK where it was first registered in May of 1973. There, the E was regularly driven till July 1990 when the registration was allowed to lapse and I can only assume it then went into storage for several years before being sold and finding its way to Australia in the mid to late 1990's. In what appeared to be a fairly poor state, the car remained untouched for some 10-15years before it underwent a complete and total restoration. The body work was professionally restored by a leading and well known E-Type restorer to Concours standard, whilst the engine and gearbox were rebuilt, along with the brakes, suspension, interior and everything else. The car was placed on club plates in Oct 2014 and had very little use before being purchased by myself in Dec. 2016. It is now the subject of further ongoing enhancements and improvements whilst being exercised on a regular basis and displayed at various events.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
