Details
Offered here is a 1973 FHC, which is described as an original, RHD, numbers matching example, which is equipped with the four-speed, manual transmission. It is complete with a history file showing that it changed hands in 1979 and 1981. The file also shows that it was the subject of a restoration of the body in the 1990's. The last change of hands, before the vendor acquired the car, was in 1996, when Mr. Anthony Brocchi bought the car and proceeded to spend £16000 with Hadley Green Garage. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt with new clutch and new ancillaries but a sudden change in circumstances saw the car put into storage until acquired by the vendor in 2008.

The car has been recommissioned and equipped with a new fuel tank, a new stainless exhaust and has been completely re-painted in the original colour, before being offered for sale. It has covered only a nominal mileage since being recomissioned and since the engine rebuild in the mid 90's.

Finished in black (which is quite rare) with red leather and sitting on chrome, pressed, wheels, the car is offered complete with the cherished registration 7733EV, a new MoT and current road tax.

Note: This description is provided by the vendor and unless otherwise stated is 'Not Verified' by Barons or any person employed by Barons. Prospective purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any statements made, whether they be statements of fact or opinion.
Estimate £12000-14000

Just purchased this vehicle, May 2011. It drives very nicely. Few minor things to sort - drivers seat release and carbs need balancing. Rear seat belts now fitted so kids happy! Very nice weekend car and looks stunning still!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
