A knew someone at school ( Worksop College, Notts) whose Father owned this car........the last V12 fixed head. In about '76 my firends Dad wanted a late series 3 and found this in a local garage. Some time later in his ownership he had to replace the rear door, and when he took off the fabric panel someone had written in chalk " last 2+2" He then wrote to Jaguar and they confirmed it was the last fixed head E Type made. I remember it was red with steel wheels and a private plate, and in excellent condition. He had a brass plaque made for the front of the car.
