Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE, V12, 2+2
Automatic Transmission
Factory Air
Factory 200 Spoke Knock-off Stainless Steel Rims
V12 motor: Rebuilt in 1989. Less than 500 miles on engine. Needed electrical work. Contracted out to a gentleman to make new wiring harness for starter circuit and cooling fans circuit. He took harnesses and never returned to our shop. I have the diagrams on what was removed. I have some of the receicpts on the rebuild. It ran like a million bucks.
Never wrecked or dented.
Paint is original and oxidized.
Chipped paint on hood as reflected in photo's.
This car was obtained by my Father & Mother in 1985. As far as I know this is California Car and we are 2nd owners. It has been stored on the desert since 1999. Prior to that it was stored in a garage in Los Angeles area. Dad has passed and Mom wants to "let her go". It has been parked since 1991. Everything is their. I believe it to be 100% restorable. I can't take the hood off myself to get engine photo's.

Started restoration Nov 2011. Looks promising. Good body, needs some workshop work and painting, engine and mechanics to overhaul and interior to major repair, many trim panels to exchange. Looking for spares esp. interior parts,

The work is going on, car now completely disassembled, body sand-blasted (no rust!) and during respraying in regency red, Suspension overhauled, prepared to re-assembly, new harnesses and exhaust. Engine and interior under work. Decided to take a/c out. We discovered original beige trimming under black sprayed vinyl, Will be new originally beige leather/vinyl trim. so far about 1000 working hours completed since November
