This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a Series III 2+2 coupe finished in blue over dark blue leather, and it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. Equipment includes four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, power-assisted steering, 15″ wheels, and an AM/FM radio. The car was sold new to Stedron GMC Truck Sales, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in September 1971 and was acquired by the selling dealer in April 2022 from the family of its reported second owner. Recent mechanical service is said to have included rebuilds of the carburetors and installation of a replacement exhaust system. This Series III coupe is now offered at no reserve with its Passport to Service booklet, an owner’s plate, service records, and a clean Oregon title.

The 2+2 model featured a 105″ wheelbase, and the Series III was equipped with a larger front grille than earlier models as well as larger front indicators and taillights below the bumpers. This example is finished in blue, and the selling dealer believes the body was partially repainted during prior ownership.

Silver-painted wheels wear polished Jaguar-branded hubcaps are mounted with older 15″ Kingstar thin-whitewall tires, and a matching spare is stored in the rear compartment. Braking is managed by four-wheel discs.

Cabin finishes include dark blue leather upholstery accompanied by matching door panels and carpets. An AM/FM radio is retained below the air conditioning unit, which is inoperative according to the selling dealer. Driver’s seat wear is noted.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges positioned in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Stromberg carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. Recent maintenance is said to have included rebuilding the carburetors and installing a replacement exhaust system.

Engine block stamping 7S1713 SA matches the chassis plate as well as the number written in the Jaguar Passport to Service booklet.

Materials accompanying the sale include a Passport to Service booklet, an owner’s plate, and service records.
