Auction description:
NEWPORT BEACH 2015 CONSIGNMENTS
1971 Jaguar XKE Coupe
Consignment # 3221 VIN #1S70593
Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale June 5th 7th, 2015 at Russo and Steele's 3rd Annual Newport Beach California Auction.
Featuring V-12 power and a highly desirable 4-speed manual gearbox, this 1971 'Series III' XKE coupe is a lovely example that was traded in to a Jaguar dealer on a new Jaguar. Always maintained to the highest standards by longtime owners, it sports Regency Red paint, a slightly patinated original black leather interior, and chrome wire wheels. A wonderful driving machine with low original miles, this first-year 'Series III' V-12 E-Type also maintains the preferred small chrome bumpers and bumper guards.

Sellers description:
MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1971 Jaguar XK-E, e-type, 2+2 coupe, the first year for the Series III V12 configuration. Purchased new from Hansford Pontiac Jaguar Co., on 5/15/71! This is the true classic British enthusiast's car, rare enough as a 4.2, but this "Unicorn" comes with the legendary 272 hp 5.3L V12! Enzo Ferrari called the XK-E "The most beautiful car ever made" The Jaguar E-Type or the Jaguar XK-E for the North American market is a British sports car, which was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd. between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960's motoring. The E-Type Series 3 was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 L twelve-cylinder Jaguar V12 engine. The Series 3 is easily identifiable by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tires, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12.
