Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar V12 2+2 E Type. This fine auto has been in my family since it was new, this was my Aunt and Uncles car, and they bought it new in Santa Ana CA at Reason Buick Company. It is a very low mileage car only 35,805 as of right now. This car was given to me about three years ago however I have been working on it for five years before that, she told me that I was the only who cared about it, so she wanted me to have it. So in the nine years I have done a lot of work on it. So let me list what I have done to it.
•2000, New Water pump and rebuilt the radiator
•2000, Shocks and Mufflers
•2000, rechromed the bumpers
•2000, Rebuilt A/C
•2008 Replace all the exhaust and intake manifold gaskets, plus replace the left side exhaust manifolds. At that time I had the cam towers removed and resealed to stop the oil leak. The valves where adjusted at that time.
•2008 New Starter
•2009 rebuilt the whole front end. Rack n pion power steering and new hoses, Upper and lower ball joints with poly urethane bushings.
•Lots of new rubber, wind screen gasket, door seals, top and bottom, Bonnet seal, Side marker lights and new luggage runners.
The over all condition of the Jag is wonderful I feel that it is an 8+, the color combination I feel is one of the best. The car was repainted and upholstered in 1985 and then driven very little. The front hood does have some minor flaws in the paint by the front head lights and a couple very small rock chips. So over all, the car is wonderful.
So why am I selling this wonderful ride? I enjoyed working on this so much that I think I’m ready to try my hand at a complete restoration and I don’t have enough garage room to do it in and I don’t want to park this car outside; that would kill me.
