Sellers comment:
1971 Jaguar 2 + 2 Series III V- 12. This car has all original parts. It has been garaged. Manual Transmission. No body rust. Air Conditioning. Beige leather interior. Willow green exterior. Original Jag wheels. 27,000 original miles.

Vehicle Condition
Condition is good. No visible wear on interior. Exterior has a small ding in the grill. Scratch on one door. Car has been serviced at an Omaha Sports Car Garage a few years ago. It was hauled up and driven back slowly because of the original Dunlop tires. The Jag has been started approx once a month and left running for a time.

Current bid $9,100 reserve not met, 13 bids, 6 days left in auction. Car now located in Kansas City, Kansas. 27k miles.

Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE 12 Cylinder Coupe. It isn't often an example of automotive history comes along in such superb original condition. This car was owned by a Jaguar Purest for over 35 years. He traded his '67 Coupe in to buy this '71 in October of '71 and cherished until he passed away. I acquired the car from the owners family and am offering this car forsale in it's original condition.

Vehicle Condition:
This car is excellent original condition. The glass is amazingly clear. The engine runs great. It was recently tuned up with the addition of electronic ignition. This thing fires right up, holds great oil pressure with no abnormal noises and runs smooth down the road. The transmission & clutch work great. Headlights, Turn Signals, Radio and all components seem to be in great working condition. The tires are original and in poor condition but still hold air and ride amazingly smooth. The exhaust is also original and will need to be replaced. Brakes work great along with the parking brake.

Exterior
This car has been painted at one time in it's life and it is showing some age. It looks GREAT from 5 feet away but if you inspect it closer you will see some flaws appearing in the paint. On a scale from 1-10 I would rate this paint a 7 because of the flaws on close inspection. The Chrome is in EXCELLENT condition with very little pitting if any! The wire wheels are in GREAT condition and will clean up very nicely with little work. There is a small ding in the front grill and another on the passengers side rocker area. This car is virtually rust free as it shows in the undercarriage pictures.

Summary
This car is a true survivor. There are not many left like this out there. If you are looking for a great driver this would be the perfect thing. Even if you are looking for a car to restore you can save tens of thousands of dollars by not having to source or restore parts that are in original condition!

This 1971 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III 2+2 coupe that was sold new at Bellevue Motors of Bellevue, Nebraska and spent time in Kansas and Arizona, where it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. The car is finished in green over Cinnamon leather and is powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Crane Cams ignition system, an AM/FM radio, Gaz shocks, and 15″ knock-off wire wheels. Work performed since 2019 consisted of overhauling the rack and pinion steering and rear differential, servicing the cooling and charging systems, and replacing the oil pressure sender unit, voltage regulator, and carburetor needles. This Series III XKE is now offered by the selling dealer with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, an owner’s identification plate, manufacturer’s literature, a spare shift knob, an original invoice and purchase order, service records, and a clean Arizona title.

Finished from the factory in Willow Green, the body is said to have been refinished during previous ownership. Exterior features include chrome trim, a driver’s side mirror, a side-hinged rear hatch, chrome bumpers with overriders, and a dual exhaust with quad outlets. Paint chips were repaired on the right side wheel arches in 2019.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 205/70 Michelin Defender tires, with a spare located underneath the cargo compartment floor. Stopping power comes from front disc and rear drum brakes, and the car is equipped with Gaz shocks. The power steering rack was overhauled and resealed in June 2019, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2021.

The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Cinnamon leather with color-matching carpets and door panels. Appointments include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, a center armrest, and LED dash lights. The glovebox lock was replaced in 2019.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer in addition to auxiliary gauges mounted on the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 34k miles, though total mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and a Crane Cams Fireball electronic ignition system. The radiator was re-cored in 2019, and the power steering hoses, thermostat, oil pressure sender, carburetor needles, and fan relays were replaced. Work in 2021 included repairing the alternator and replacing the battery and voltage regulator.

Engine stamping 7S3474SA matches the number listed on the data plate as well as the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate shown in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The rear differential was overhauled in November 2019. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors, identification numbers, and a build date of June 21, 1971.
