Ebay item 3/24/10
cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $16,988 reserve not met, 6 bids 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $31,000.

Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar e-type Reliable and fast!!

The car was origionally a coupe and was professionally converted to a roadster using factory parts. The Origional 200-odd HP carburated v-12 engine was removed and replaced with a fuel injected v-12 engine imported from England, which delvelops a whopping 350 HP!!!

The automatic transmission was replaced with a rare series 3 manual 4-speed transmission.

In 2008, the car was stripped to bare metal, any and all corroded panels were replaced with OEM parts, the body was restored and painted base clear (velocity red)

New dash pad, wood grain console and wood wheel was installed.

The engine and drive train was overhauled and serviced by Long Run Imports, a vintage jaguar specialist.

A custom made tonneau cover and serialed toolkit completes the package.

Likely the quickest E type on the road.

The BAD ---
The hood (bonnet) was painted seperatly from the rest of the car, and we think a solvent or primer problem has led to minor paint blistering in a few areas of the hood. This is limited to the hood, which should be repainted (but not essentail)

The interior is only semi restored, Sheepskin covers were installed over the worn leather seats, but the interior would benefit from some detailing and other attention

The air conditioning is holding Freon but doesnt work because the fan blower resistor is missing, but who uses air con in a convertible anyway.

The rag top was never replaced but works great and keeps the interior dry, but shows wear.

the parking brake has never worked since i owned the car- the calipers are there but it's such a horrible place to get at i never went there.

I am selling the car, because I have taken on another Jag project, So this one has to go.... Ready for someone who can appriciate the artwork of the most beautiful car ever designed, which goes like a scalded cat!!!!!!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
