    Ebay item 6/12/12

Current bid $10,100, no reserve, 10 bids 5 days left in auction. 10k miles.

    Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar E type coupe with the powerful 5.3L V12 with 2+2 seating. It is all stock and original without any modifications. Just the way it should be. Finished in British Racing Green and tan hides. One of the nicest color combinations on this car.

Same owner for the past 15 years. Purchased at a Ferrari dealer as it was a trade in on their lot. It was sold April of 1997 with 84k miles. Still have the original sales contract. Car was garaged in a fantastic home and rarely driven. She still wears here blue and yellow license plates proudly.

It runs incredibly smooth and it is a pleasure to drive. Regular services and routine maintenance has kept this Jaguar in tip top shape. Extensive receipts and records of maintenance. Last major service was 12/2011 at a price of 2800. It included muffler mounts, transmission mounts, fuel tank drain and sealing, air filters, new starter, misc hoses etc. There are many more services in the thick file of receipts and would take a very long time to list the amount of work done. Lets just say that thousands of dollars were spent servicing if you were to add up the receipts :)

The paint is very good and still has a very nice shine and minimal paint blemishes. Few chips on door edges and nicks here and there. The front bonnet is in tact and shows no signs damage. The interior looks to be original. The front seats show wear and can be reupholstered for a perfect interior. The dash has a few cracks. Carpets are very good. Back seat leather is excellent with no rips or tears. Rear hatch area has excellent leather. Headliner is very good. Door panels excellent but tear on drivers pull handle.

Brakes squeak a bit. Tires are very good. Chrome is very good condition. Wire wheels are very good. AC is not blowing cold. Lights are all working, speedo, odo, signals, wipers all work fine. Engine and transmission run very well. Healthy motor and trans shifts crisp and smooth. Car starts right up fine. Has original Stromberg carbs.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
