    Car offered at:
    www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/jaguar/xke/1660170.html

    Sellers description:
This is a completely original unrestored survivor with just 44500 actual miles. This car has been owned by the same family since 1992 with one owner previous to 1992. it has the proper paperwork to prove its current mileage. All manuals are still with the car as well as service receipts.

100% rust free & accident free. Paint shines beautifully and has been well taken care of. There are a few spots on the front hood where the paint has rubbed off which is to be expected on a car of this age. They are shown in the photos. All other areas are beautifully in tact. The chrome is brilliant with no pitting at all.

The interior is immaculate. Drivers seat shows some usage but there are no tares or dash cracks. The passenger seat and rear seats are as good as new. Everything works as it should. This is a factory Air Conditioned car. AC blows strong but is not cold.

The complete engine and drive train is original. The 326ci V12 starts immediately and idles beautifully. Driving is incredible in every respect. Powerful, smooth with exceptional handling. There are no noises in the engine bay or inside the cabin. Not one squeak or rattle anywhere. Stopping is easy. Brakes are new and tires are fresh.

This car is impressive to say the least. To find a true low mileage Survivor class Jaguar in this condition, is a once in a lifetime occasion. Call for more details or a test drive.

    Price: $41,500

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
