This US specs serie 2 E type has been in the family for almost 40 years. My father bought it for a few thousand dollars in Athens in 1977 or 78 and brougth it to France in 1979 where it was forgotten in a garage and got damaged by humidity and bad storing conditions. The car was previouly in NYC.
After the car was left in a garage for more than 15 years I restored it in 1995 and again in 2012, first to its original US specifications and eventually turn it to a serie 1 and 1/2 looking car.
