Vehicle has 67,000 original miles as of June 2003. Originally sold to Mr. Arthur G. DeFabry in Newport Beach, California. Second owner was Mr. Robert Boyajian of Santa Ana, California. Third owner was Mr. Richard Smith of Newport Beach, California. Purchased by current owner in May 2003. Very original example of the last SWB six cylinder E-Types featuring the leaping cat medallions on each side of the bonnet and the chrome trim around the edge of the bonnet air intake.

This is a very good example of a fine Series 2 E-Type.

Bill's ebay description (complete VIN J712R14350):

6 days in auction, seller jeddahbill, 71k miles.

Stunning, very original rust free Southern California car. One of last production Series II convertibles with 6 cylinder, 4.2 litre engine, 4 speed manual transmission and 71,438 original documented miles. I have owned this car since May, 2003 when I purchased it from the third owner with 67,000 miles. Extensively documented from original date of sale. Always in Southern California since new, always registered in California with original license plate. Absolutely rust free. Always garaged, carefully serviced and meticulously maintained. All numbers matching with original colour scheme confirmed by JDHT certificate. Superb condition, everything works including clock and radio. Excellent oil pressure, no leaks, no overheating, smooth and quiet transmission, very good brakes and tires.

Took first place at the JCNA Temecula Wine Country Concours d'Elegance with a score of 9.982 competing against 6 other cars in the D-3 class.

Includes original Phillips radio, jack, tool kit, owners manual, tonneau, fitted cloth car cover and all documentation.

This car is a real pleasure to drive. I have owned three E-Types since 1980 and this car is the best.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
