Seen on internet ad:
Very original with only two owners since new. The original owner had the car until 2 years ago, when he passed away. The last of the 6 cylinder Jaguar e-types, this car was delivered on March, 1971. The 1971 is the rarest of the series 2 e-types and was the only year the leaping Jaguar was used on the bonnet sides, plus a chrome trim surrounds the bonnet mouth. Olde English white paint with black leather. Chrome is very good original, wire wheels are like new with new Mitchelin tires. Even the spare wire wheel and tire look like new. Strong rebuilt engine with no smoke or leaks.
Interior- Car has great patina with mostly original interior, the seats were redone two years ago and are in excellent condition, original Philips AM/FW/SW radio in working order, has original electric antenna, all gauges and switches (except clock) work. Soft top is in real good condition excpet there is a yellow stain on the clear plastic window ... I think it will come out. The rest of the interior is original (door panels, behind seats, dash, etc) and in good condition.
Body- Just completed paint job .... all chrome pieces were removed, even the windshield. Click here to see photos of the car while it was being painted. No signs of prior accidents The floor pans, rockers and boot floor are original and in excellent shape, doors have not been reskined or patched and the sub frames are straight still show the original paint. The bonnet and doors have very good gaps Chrome is all original and very good, glass is excellent with new Triplex windshield . The boot (trunk) is very clean and has new mat .... includes original jack, knock off tool and hammer, original owner's manual and rare Passport to Service booklet with metal owner's ID plate.
Mechanicals: Matching number engine, the engine compartment is clean and correct.. Starts right up with the pull of the choke and runs well. Odometer shows 4500 miles, which is not correct as there is a sticker from speedometer shop indicating a prior repair. Have receipts for complete engine rebuilt, clutch and suspension work. Car drives tight and handles excellent. Great oil pressure (40 psi+), gearbox shifts effortless, brakes work well, runs cool and cooling fans cycle normally. Just serviced the cooling system and flush the brake fluid. Distributor was upgraded to electronic ignition for added reliability.
This is not "trailer queen" ... but a very clean driver that can be shown at a local Jaguar event and enjoyed.

Current bid $17,000.00 (Reserve not met), 4 bids, 5 adys left in auction.
Sellers description:
This vehicle is owned by a former hotel owner on Clearwater Beach, FL. He currently has 6 collector vehicles, and is running out of storage and doesn't have time to use all of them. This one is in original, unrestored, but beautifully maintained condition. It is not a trailer queen, but a car you could get in and easily go coast to coast. Odometer reads under 56000 miles, thought to be accurate, but not sure. Quality repaint within the past 3 years. Seats are new. Top is in pretty good shape, but back window is badly yellowed. Owner never uses it with top up. Has 2 cooling fans, doesn't overheat. No known flaws.
left hand Jag emblem has popped off. Owner will furnish it (they're under 20 bucks) Everything works on this car. There's no rust, bondo, damage, flooding, etc. Car painted and weatherstripping replaced three yrs ago. Previous owner did a lot of work on it and we have the paperwork. We noticed some of the work was on the engine, so mileage stated herein may not be accurate. Car drives out tight and quiet; certainly not a high miles car.
