    Ebay item 8/10/06
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1971-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-II-Convertible_W ...
Current bid $1,225 reserve not met, 11 bids, 6 days left in auction. 50k miles.

    Sellers description:
I have had this vehicle for the past 19 years and it has always been garaged. I used it on “Sunny Sundays”, putting less than 1500 miles a year on it. It is a great driver with a 4 speed manual transmission; the 6 cylinder engine is strong and very quick. The body was professionally stripped and repainted Pale Primrose, and a complete Bartlett interior was installed in 1989. The engine was also removed at that time and new seals and freeze plugs installed. The clutch was also replaced. The tires are Michelin Red Line tube type on wire rims with knock-off hubs. It has the original AM-FM-Short Wave radio.

Current bid $25,000, no reserve, 5 bids 3 days left in auction. 51K miles. Same location.

    Sellers description:
An excellent example of the Jaguar XKE convertible. One of the last 6 cylinder E-Types ever built. Car is a very reliable driver condition vehical. It is in what I would consider very good condition. A head turner and fun to drive. It does not leak or smoke. I am down sizing and do not have room to keep it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
