Sellers description:
This 1971 Coupe is a great investment, It is the most desirable year of the series II cars. The car started out in a rare Ascot Fawn color which is close to a Beige with Tan interior some years ago someone changed the color to a brown but the original color still shows in many places. The body on the car is excellent i can't find any signs of body repair or bondo anywhere. It is an extremely rust free and straight car. The gaps are perfect on the doors and bonnet. I can't find any rust on the floors and sills and also the belly pan is in excellent condition. There is one small patch in the trunk area as shown and even that is still extremely dry. The car starts up and runs strong with excellent oil pressure and no smoke or noise. The rear IRS has been fully rebuilt top to bottom with all new rubbers and components also detail paint work. The front brakes have been fully rebuilt with all new parts as well they just need reassembly. The car will need paint and interior as you can see but this a true survivor and can be on the road for very short money. Car has clear open title.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
