Ebay item 3/14/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Jaguar-E-Type-1970-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-COUPE-MATCHING-NUMBERS-EN ...
Car has a buy it now price of $26,900 for 29 days, seller kurttannermotorcars , 54k miles.
Seller's description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very solid and fairly complete E-type Series 2 Coupe for restoration. This original California car was just purchased here locally from it's long term owner of the past 35 years. The car was being driven often back in the 1980's until the clutch started to slip. It was a mechanical project that the owner just didn't get around to doing, so it was then put into storage where it has resided for the past 35 years. The car still retains it's pair of original issue blue/yellow CA license plates dated May of 1984. The car's recorded mileage is believed to be original. This car left the factory in what appears to be the very desirable exterior of British Racing Green with Biscuit trim, a superb color scheme for a closed car.
The body on this car is overall quite decent with only some light dents to the roof panel and a small bump on the nose. There's some usual dings and scrapes. The panels all seem to fit fairly well with close to normal gapping. There is some minor bubbling in the passenger door bottom, a spot under the battery area, and some minor reparable rust-through in the spare tire compartment. The rest of the car looks extremely solid as expected of a California car.
The car's interior trim looks to be all there and complete for restoration. The car's glass is intact and complete. All of the brightwork appears original but could use a replating by now.
The car's matching engine turns nicely by hand and should run with just a little bit of work (fuel, ignition, fluids). The dipstick shows the oil looks normal and is up to the correct level.
The car is missing the spare tire, rear window trim, and two hubcaps, but otherwise appears very complete and undisturbed.
Overall, a desirable and solid California E-type Series 2 Coupe needing straightforward and general restoration. This modestly priced Jaguar is very good value being a two-seater coupe, matching numbers, with nice options and great original colors.
