    Hi Andre,

Nice to see an E type from South Africa! I am from Bulawayo, but now in S.E Queeensland, Australia.. Arrived here in 1983, along with my E type 861442 originally purchased in 1978! Which still have and still doing bits and pieces on it. Currently rmp counter has given up!

Can you tell me much about your car, like how long you have had it? Do you know know the history of the car? Have you used it much? Has it been in PE all its live? Do you struggle to get spares in SA? (I had endless drama get spares in Byo!) Has it been painted many time? Etc..

it would be great o get some feed back from you...

    Cheers Roy

    Roy,

I have the car for two years. No prior history. Bought it in Johannesburg where it was stripped down and found it with a poor restoration started. It sat there for 15 years where the project was abandoned.

I do not find difficulty to obtain parts - I have to source them from the UK. (just expensive for us due to the exchange rate). The body is nearly finished. I will start assembling soon. All other components and trim have already been prepared.

I have a 1965 FSC as well. See vin no 1E20117. I drive it every weekend.

    Regards

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
