An exciting find, chassis 860331 has covered just 36,000 miles and is notable as the 331st RHD Coupe built. Its original manufacturer's warranty and buff logbook show that the two-seater was supplied new via Hollingdrake Automobile Co of Colwyn Bay to the Hayle family on May 3rd 1962. Ownership transferred to the Hodson family in April 1970, who had it repainted from Satin Grey to Mexico Brown by Sturgess Jaguar of Leicester. Hit by another car during 1975, '3031 UN' was subsequently placed in a barn where it has lain ever since. The bodyshell is notably solid and the damage confined to the discarded bonnet, front frame and a couple of body panels. The larger than standard front brakes, dust shields and 48-spoke wire wheels are all believed to have been factory-fitted extras. This timewarp Jaguar retains its original engine and comes with various old MOTS, period photos and a cutting regarding the accident.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
