WFY 22 from new.
Owner: Bruce Goddard
Life long [almost!] Jaguar enthusiast. Had 'E's since I was 22 - they were cheap then. Have owned c.20 'E' Types, '430 was the second one I purchased and have owned for 36 years. We won concours, went racing - and did pretty well - and now we go to the pub together. Full race prepared still and with the open exhausts everyone knows it's me. EX100 is in my custody for a friend who has owned it since Peter Taylor sold it in 1976. Now overhauled and on 6 Webbers it's pretty impressive and of course unique. (email)Updated October 25th, 2010. Not legal proof of ownership. |

Mine since 1975, now used as a very fast road car!

1962 Jaguar E-type 3.8 Series 1 FHC.
Manufactured in April 1962 this vehicle is factory equipped with the desirable bucket seats and aluminum dash, it has the revised deeper floor for driver comfort, having been manufactured on the turn of the flat floor production.
Currently finished in Carmen Red, though its original factory colour was Opalescent Silver Blue, arguably the most desirable and equally beautiful finish.
The interior is still to factory specification, and delightfully worn and authentic. It is as original as they come, something very difficult to find within the marketplace.
The last owner of some 42 years, treated 'WFY 22′ as one of the family, and was the survivor of two previous marriages.
Its extensive history portfolio contains original sales receipts. and documents every expenditure,. Petrol costing breakdowns, tax discs from 1972. Invoices, Original buff log book, Heritage certificate, HSSCC Vehicle Identity certificates and all show, race and events attended. Collated in 6 display folders and over 400 pages of life story, it makes for a compelling read alone.
In 1990 'WFY 22′ was treated to a complete strip down and refinish, the owner felt comfortable in her current guise, thus carried forth its Carmen Red configuration in keeping with the preceding 46 year specification.
Complete matching numbers car,
The original engine was stripped and overhauled in 2010 by known specialist. Producing a modes 290 BHP at its recent rolling road dyno test/service. It is very comfortable on the highway or rally, with the only noticeable modification being a performance air ITG filter to aid engine breathing (Easily replaced with original specification part).
Featured this year in a prominent fashion magazine and HungerTV, on behalf of the designer brand Louis Vuitton. Proofs and copies of the select media to also go with the vehicle. Photographed by the world famous Rankin.
Interested parties should make an appointment to view this car in person, leaving plenty of time to inspect the condition and peruse the vast history file.
