Sold 24 April 2024 for £43,875 (incl. buyer’s premium) at Pavilion Gardens Buxton, Derbyshire by H & H Classics. Seller’s description (summarised) follows.
A home market car with matching chassis and engine block numbers (head replaced, but matching numbers head accompanies). Registration No: 749 HOJ. Manufactured on the 30th of April 1962 and dispatched on the 15th of May to distributors Ritchies Ltd. of Glasgow. Bare metal restoration between 1999 and 2001, New panels fitted as required. New or re-chromed trim. Engine and transmission overhauled including replacement cylinder head (matching numbers head accompanies). Interior retrimmed in Tan leather. Invoices in the history file total some £9,000 worth of expenditure.
Purchased by the vendor in 2003, 860467 was used on the road for a couple of years before being parked in the vendor's garage for the last circa 20 years. Has not seen the road since.
